Making Pika -
Art Gallery ‘het Punt’

This work explored the interplay between vibrant colors (magenta, ochre, emerald) and my familiar heavy black lines to create an everyday Caribbean scenery. With a holy twist.

A woman making pika (traditional hot sauce) in the presence of ‘usual suspects’: the trupial, a wara wara,
a goat (kabritu), the blistering sun and of course a cactus (kadushi).
